Aachen-based startup Willowprint has developed a sustainable, biodegradable wood-based printing material for additive manufacturing that makes it possible to produce environmentally friendly products that can be recycled or composted at the end of their life. Target markets are sustainable architecture (e.g. tiny houses) and the construction industry, as well as sustainable design furniture and modular living solutions. With the 3D wood paste, Willowprint is making an active contribution to waste prevention and the promotion of a circular economy. The innovative material enables the upcycling of residual materials in order to reintegrate them into the production cycle and thus minimise resource consumption.
Der High-Tech Accelerator NRW war für uns ein absoluter Meilenstein in unserer Start-up-Entwicklung. Das Programm kam genau zum richtigen Zeitpunkt – in einer Phase, in der strategische Weichenstellungen und fundierter Experteninput für unser weiteres Wachstum entscheidend waren.
Die Kombination aus individueller Betreuung, tiefgehender Fach-Expertise und praxisnahen Workshops hat uns nicht nur fachlich enorm weitergebracht, sondern auch Mut gemacht, den nächsten Schritt mit Klarheit und Selbstvertrauen zu gehen. Besonders der Zugang zu einem starken Netzwerk aus Mentor:innen, Investor:innen und anderen Start-ups war für uns von unschätzbarem Wert.
