Ivilion has developed a novel technology for the thermal management of electric vehicle batteries that allows battery packs to be built differently, thereby alleviating various bottlenecks of current electric cars, such as fast charging, range, cost, weight, safety and recycling. Ivilion uses special support structures that can be produced using established manufacturing processes such as extrusion. An important cornerstone of the technology is an automated, digital pre-design and optimization process that relies on reduced physical models and enables an agile approach to customer needs.
HIGH-TECH.NRW is exactly the kind of special accelerator that deep-tech start-ups need to really pick up speed. The past 12 weeks were the perfect mix of workshops, coaching and, above all, network building. The numerous discussions with experts from all sectors have opened doors for us, confirmed us in what we are doing and made us realize what we really need to work on.
