Icy 3D has developed a new optical haptic sensor to improve data quality in diverse surface analysis scenarios. At the same time, real-time processing pipelines provide immediate results in 3D, dramatically reducing acquisition and evaluation times. The increased data quality enables early detection of defects in the manufacturing process, helping to reduce touch-up time and material scrap. The application areas of the Icy 3D Sensor are especially difficult to measure materials such as carbon fibers, glass, mirrors or other reflective surfaces.
