Ivilion has developed a novel technology for the thermal management of electric vehicle batteries that allows battery packs to be built differently, thereby alleviating various bottlenecks of current electric cars, such as fast charging, range, cost, weight, safety and recycling. Ivilion uses special support structures that can be produced using established manufacturing processes such as extrusion. An important cornerstone of the technology is an automated, digital pre-design and optimization process that relies on reduced physical models and enables an agile approach to customer needs.
